The Soldier Settlement Board Act
WHEREAS the Minister of Justice has caused this Act to be prepared in English and French for re-enactment in accordance with a judgment dated June 13, 1985 and an order dated November 4, 1985 of the Supreme Court of Canada;
THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
Power of Soldier Settlement Board in Manitoba
The Soldier Settlement Board created under the authority of The Soldier Settlement Act being chapter 188 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1927, and any amendments thereto, shall have power to acquire by purchase or otherwise, lands within Manitoba and to sell, mortgage and otherwise dispose of the same.
This Act shall apply only so far as the Legislature of Manitoba has jurisdiction to enact.
NOTE: This Act replaces C.A. 1924, c. 182.
