Manitoba Regulation 404/88 R amended

1 The Assistance Regulation, Manitoba Regulation 404/88 R, is amended by this regulation.

Modification du R.M. 404/88 R

1 Le présent règlement modifie le Règlement sur les allocations d'aide, R.M. 404/88 R.

2 Clause 8(1)(a) is amended by striking out "and" at the end of subclause (xlviii) and adding the following after subclause (xlviii):

(xlix) compensation received from the Government of Manitoba under a settlement agreement with respect to Manitoba Court of King's Bench File No. CI-18-01-17220 (Weremy v. Government of Manitoba),

(l) compensation received from the Government of Canada or the Government of Ontario under a settlement agreement of claims for damages caused by flooding involving Rainy Lake First Nations (Couchiching, Mitaanjigamiing, Naicatchewenin, Nigigoonsiminikaaning and Seine River First Nations),

(li) compensation received from the Government of Manitoba under a settlement agreement of claims respecting the treatment of special allowances payable under the Children's Special Allowances Act (Canada), including claims made in Court of King's Bench File No. CI18-01-14043 (Peguis Child and Family Services v. Government of Manitoba) and File No. CI18-01-18438 (Flette v. Government of Manitoba),

(lii) the one-time grocery rebate from the Government of Canada that was payable in July of 2023 along with the Goods and Services Tax Credit; and

(l) les indemnités reçues du gouvernement du Canada ou du gouvernement de l'Ontario dans le cadre d'un accord de règlement pour réclamations concernant des dommages causés par des inondations touchant les Premières Nations du lac à la Pluie (soit celles de Couchiching, de Mitaanjigamiing, de Naicatchewenin, de Nigigoonsiminikaaning et de Seine River),

(li) les indemnités reçues du gouvernement du Manitoba dans le cadre d'un accord de règlement pour réclamations concernant le traitement des allocations spéciales dont le versement est prévu en vertu de la Loi sur les allocations spéciales pour enfants (Canada), y compris les réclamations visées par les dossiers de la Cour du Banc du Roi du Manitoba numéros CI18-01-14043 (Peguis Child and Family Services c. le gouvernement du Manitoba) et CI18-01-18438 (Flette c. le gouvernement du Manitoba),

(lii) le remboursement unique pour l'épicerie, provenant du gouvernement du Canada, dont le versement était prévu en juillet 2023 et devait accompagner le crédit pour la taxe sur les produits et services;
