The Grandparents' Day Act
(Assented to June 11, 2009)
WHEREAS grandparents play an important, nurturing role in family life and are a valuable link between generations;
AND WHEREAS grandparents should be honoured and appreciated for their guidance and wisdom;
THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
In each year, the first Sunday in September after Labour Day is to be known throughout Manitoba as "Grandparents' Day".
This Act may be referred to as chapter G95 of the Continuing Consolidation of the Statutes of Manitoba.
This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
