THE COMMUNITY CHILD CARE STANDARDS AMENDMENT ACT

HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

C.C.S.M. c. C158 amended

1   The Community Child Care Standards Act is amended by this Act.

2(1)   Subsection 31.1(2) is replaced with the following:

Purposes of grants

31.1(2)   The minister may requisition a grant to be made to support

(a) a licensed child care centre that is established or maintained by

(i) a municipality,

(ii) an Indigenous governing body, or

(iii) a reporting organization within the meaning of The Financial Administration Act; or

(b) child care education or training provided by

(i) a university or college as defined in The Advanced Education Administration Act, or

(ii) the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology continued under The Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology Act.

2(2)   Subsection 31.1(4) is amended by striking out "subsection (2)" and substituting "clause (2)(a)".

Coming into force

3   This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
