THE ADVANCED EDUCATION ADMINISTRATION AMENDMENT ACT

HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

C.C.S.M. c. A6.3 amended

1   The Advanced Education Administration Act is amended by this Act.

2(1)   Subsection 2.3(5) is amended by adding "and must make the results of the review publicly available" at the end.

2(2)   The following is added after subsection 2.3(5):

Ministerial action re policy

2.3(6)   If the minister determines that an institution referred to in subsection (2) has not complied with this section and the regulations made under clause 12(b.1), the minister may direct the Minister of Finance to deduct any amount from any grant requisitioned for the institution under section 9.1 or 9.6.

2.3(7)   The Minister of Finance must comply with a direction received under subsection (6).

Coming into force

3   This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
