THE LOBBYISTS REGISTRATION AMENDMENT ACT

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

The Lobbyists Registration Act is amended by this Act.

Clause 3(2)(e) is repealed.

Coming into force

This Act comes into force 90 days after the day it receives royal assent.

Explanatory Note

This Bill amends The Lobbyists Registration Act.

Currently, the Act does not apply to submissions made by a union representative about

  • administering or negotiating a collective agreement with the government or a government agency; or
  • representing a unionized employee of the government or a government agency.

This Bill removes this exemption.
