(Assented to )
HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
The Manitoba East Side Road Authority Act, S.M. 2004, c. 25, is repealed.
On the coming into force of this Act,
(a) the authority is dissolved;
(b) the appointments of the directors of the authority are terminated, and all rights and obligations of the directors in relation to or under those appointments are extinguished;
(c) the rights and property of the authority are vested in the government; and
(d) all liabilities and obligations of the authority are assumed by the government.
A legal proceeding or action commenced by or against the authority may be continued by or against the government.
In this section, "authority" means the Manitoba East Side Road Authority continued under The Manitoba East Side Road Authority Act, as that Act read immediately before the coming into force of this Act.
This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
This Bill repeals The Manitoba East Side Road Authority Act and transfers the Authority's property, rights and liabilities to the government.
