THE LIQUOR CONTROL AMENDMENT ACT (HELPING TO PREVENT DATE RAPE)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

The Liquor Control Act is amended by this Act.

Subsection 120(2) is replaced with the following:

Drinks allowed in washroom

120(2)

Subject to the regulations, a person may possess and consume liquor in a washroom that is within or adjacent to

(a) licensed premises; or

(b) premises for which an occasional permit or special permit has been issued;

if the person is otherwise legally authorized to possess and consume the liquor in those premises.

Coming into force

This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
