THE COURT OF QUEEN'S BENCH SMALL CLAIMS PRACTICES AMENDMENT AND PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY AMENDMENT ACT

(Assented to July 14, 1999)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

C.C.S.M. c. C285 amended

1(1)      The Court of Queen's Bench Small Claims Practices Act is amended by this section.

1(2)      Clause 3(1)(a) amended

(a) by striking out "$5,000." and substituting "$7,500."; and

(b) by striking out "$1,000." and substituting "$1,500.".

1(3)       Section 4 is amended in the section heading and in the section by striking out "$5,000." and substituting "$7,500.".

1(4)       Subsection 5(1) is amended in the section heading and in the subsection by striking out "$5,000." and substituting "$7,500.".

C.C.S.M. c. P8 amended

2         Section 3 of The Parental Responsibility Act is amended by striking out "$5,000." and substituting "$7,500.".

Coming into force

3         This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
