THE WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH AMENDMENT ACT (2)

(Assented to June 28, 1997)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

C.C.S.M. c. W210 amended

1         The Workplace Safety and Health Act is amended by this Act.

2(1)      Subsection 55(1) is amended

(a) in clause (a),

(i) by striking out "$15,000." and substituting "$150,000.", and

(ii) by striking out "$2,500." and substituting "$25,000."; and

(b) in clause (b),

(i) by striking out "$30,000." and substituting "$300,000.", and

(ii) by striking out "$5,000." and substituting "$50,000.".

2(2)      Subsection 55(2) is amended by striking out "$2,500." and substituting "$25,000.".

Coming into force

3         This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
