The Denturists Amendment Act

(Assented to June 24, 1992)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

C.C.S.M. c. D35 amended

1           The Denturists Act is amended by this Act.

2           Section 1 is amended by adding the following definition in alphabetical order:

"board" means the board of directors of the association referred to in section 6; («conseil»)

3           Subsection 3(1) is amended by striking out "minister" and substituting "board".

4           Subsection 3(2) is repealed and the following is substituted:

Inspectors

3(2)        The board may appoint one or more inspectors for the purposes of this Act.

5           Section 5 is amended by striking out "minister" and substituting "board".

6           Subsection 6(1) is amended by striking out "(hereinafter referred to as the "board")".

7           Subsection 13(1) is amended by striking out "Lieutenant Governor in Council" and substituting "board".

8           In the following provisions, "minister" is struck out and "board" is substituted:

(a) subsections 13(3), (4) and (5);

(b) subsection 14(3);

(c) subsections 20(1) and (2);

(d) subsection 21(1);

(e) clause 23(m).

Coming into force

9           This Act comes into force on the day that is three months after the day it receives royal assent.
