The Debtors' Arrest Act

WHEREAS the Minister of Justice has caused this Act to be prepared in English and French for re-enactment in accordance with a judgment dated June 13, 1985 and an order dated November 4, 1985 of the Supreme Court of Canada;

THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

Part of Imperial "Debtors Act 1869" not to apply

Subsection 4(6) of The Debtors Act, 1869, being chapter 62 of 32 & 33 Victoria and all sections of the Act subsequent to section 4 are hereby declared not to be in force in Manitoba.

NOTE:  This Act replaces R.S.M. 1892, c. 43, s. 3.
