The Rural Municipality of Victoria Beach By-law Validation Act

WHEREAS the council of the Rural Municipality of Victoria Beach on September 19, 1989 gave first reading to By-law No. 1218, to authorize a capital expenditure project to install a seasonal water system and to issue debentures for the project in the amount of $48,000.;
AND WHEREAS The Municipal Board found in a decision dated December 11, 1989 that the board was unable to approve the by-law, owing in part to non-compliance with certain provisions of section 626 of The Municipal Act;
THEREFORE, HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
By-law No. 1218 of the Rural Municipality of Victoria Beach is hereby validated in the form in which it was given first reading by the council of the municipality on September 19, 1989; and the by-law shall be deemed for all purposes to be in compliance with section 626 of The Municipal Act, and to be approved by The Municipal Board under that section.
The council of the Rural Municipality of Victoria Beach may proceed under subsection 626(22) of The Municipal Act to give second and third reading to By-law No. 1218.
This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
