HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

Description of lands
1 The following lands are hereby set apart for the purposes of an International Peace Garden:
All those portions of sections two (2), three (3), ten (10), eleven (11), and adjoining road allowances in township one (1), range twenty (20), west of the principal meridian in Manitoba, contained within the following limits, namely, commencing at a point in the southerly limit of the south-west quarter (S.W. 1/4) of section two (2), distant easterly thereon twenty-five hundred and eighty and nine-tenths (2,580.9) feet from the south-west corner of the quarter section; thence northerly on a course forming an angle on its westerly side with the southerly limit of the quarter section of eighty-nine (89) degrees, fifty-three (53) minutes, ten (10) seconds, a distance of three hundred and four and two-tenths (304.2) feet; thence on a course deflecting to the left seven (7) degrees, eighteen (18) minutes, fifty (50) seconds, a distance of six hundred and twenty-seven and nine-tenths (627.9) feet; thence on a course deflecting to the right five (5) degrees and forty (40) minutes, to the northerly limit of the south-west quarter (S.W. 1/4) of section eleven (11); thence westerly along the northerly limit and its production to the north-east corner of the south-east quarter (S.E. 1/4) of section ten (10); thence westerly along the northerly limit of the south half (S. 1/2) of section ten (10) to the westerly limit of section ten (10); thence southerly along the westerly limit of section ten (10) and its production to the north-west corner of section three (3); thence southerly along the westerly limit of section three (3) and its production to intersect the International Boundary between Canada and the United States of America; thence easterly along the International Boundary to its intersection with the production in a straight line southerly of the course firstly above described; thence northerly along the production of the course firstly above described to the point of commencement and containing by admeasurement 1,452 acres more or less, for the purposes of an International Peace Garden;

Toutes les parties, ainsi que les emprises adjacentes, des sections 2, 3, 10 et 11 du township 1, rang 20, à l'ouest du méridien principal au Manitoba comprises dans les limites suivantes : commençant à un point sur la limite méridionale du quart sud-ouest de la section 2 situé à une distance de 2 580,9 pieds à l'est du coin sud-ouest du quart de section; de là dans une direction septentrionale sur une distance de 304,2 pieds, une trajectoire formant au côté occidental un angle de 89° 53' 10'' avec la limite méridionale du quart de section; de là une déviation vers la gauche de 7° 18' 50'' sur une distance de 627,9 pieds; de là une déviation vers la droite de 5° 40' jusqu'à la limite septentrionale du quart sud-ouest de la section 11; de là en direction occidentale le long de la limite septentrionale et de son prolongement jusqu'au coin nord-est du quart sud-est de la section 10; de là dans une direction occidentale le long de la limite septentrionale de la moitié sud de la section 10 jusqu'à la limite occidentale de ladite section; de là dans une direction méridionale le long de la limite occidentale de la section 10 et de son prolongement jusqu'au coin nord-ouest de la section 3; de là dans une direction méridionale le long de la limite occidentale de la section 3 et de son prolongement jusqu'au point d'intersection avec la frontière internationale séparant le Canada et les États-Unis d'Amérique; de là dans une direction orientale le long de ladite frontière internationale jusqu'au point d'intersection avec un prolongement en ligne droite dans une direction méridionale de la trajectoire initialement décrite ci-haut; de là dans une direction septentrionale le long dudit prolongement jusqu'au point de départ; lesdites parties contenant une superficie de 1 452 acres; plus ou moins.

2 The Lieutenant Governor in Council may
(a) subject to such terms and conditions as he sees fit to impose, vest the management and control of the lands in such person or persons as is considered desirable, and confer such powers as are deemed necessary for the purpose; and
(b) enter into any agreement that is, and make such orders and regulations in connection therewith as are, necessary for the proper development of the International Peace Garden and for the purposes of this Act.

2 Le lieutenant-gouverneur en conseil peut :
a) attribuer, selon les modalités qu'il juge adéquates, la gestion et l'administration de ces biens-fonds à une ou plusieurs personnes, selon ce qui est le plus souhaitable, et conférer les pouvoirs nécessaires à l'application de la présente loi;
b) conclure les ententes nécessaires au développement du Jardin international de la Paix et à l'application de la présente loi, et prendre les décrets et les règlements y afférents.
