HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Control Act is amended by this Act.
Subsection 1(1) is amended by adding the following definitions:
"cider" means an alcoholic beverage produced by the fermentation of fruit juice. (« cidre »)
"cooler" means an alcoholic beverage produced by combining a wine, beer or spirit base with
(a) fruit juice, vegetable juice or a flavouring preparation; and
(b) water or mineral water. (« panaché »)
Subsection 38(2) is replaced with the following:
A retail beer vendor licence authorizes the licensee to sell beer, cider and coolers on a retail basis from the premises specified in the licence.
This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
