The Legislative Assembly Amendment Act (Member Changing Parties)
Explanatory Note This note is a reader's aid and is not part of the law. This Act repeals the provision of The Legislative Assembly Act that requires a Member of the Assembly elected as a member of a political party to sit as an independent if they cease to belong to that party. |

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
The Legislative Assembly Act is amended by this Act.
Section 52.3.1 is repealed.
This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
