THE COUNCIL ON POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION AMENDMENT ACT
(Assented to June 28, 1997)
HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
The Council on Post-Secondary Education Act is amended by this Act.
The following is added after section 27:
The Lieutenant Governor in Council may, on any terms and conditions that the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine, authorize the council to make grants to post-secondary institutions to which this Act does not otherwise apply.
A post-secondary institution that receives a grant from the council under this section shall submit to the council, at the time and in the form specified by the council, the annual budget of the institution and any other information that the council may request.
A post-secondary institution that receives a grant from the council under this section shall submit to the council, after the end of its fiscal year, an annual report of its operations during that fiscal year that includes audited financial statements and any other information that the council may request.
This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
