THE SURFACE RIGHTS AMENDMENT ACT
(Assented to October 22, 1996)
HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
The Surface Rights Act is amended by this Act.
Subsection 18(1) is amended by striking out "A lease" and substituting "Subject to subsection (2), a lease".
Subsection 18(2) is repealed and the following is substituted:
) An owner or occupant may waive the requirements of subsection (1) only by executing a waiver that is in a form approved by the board.
This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
