The Winnipeg Canoe Club Incorporation Amendment Act

(Assented to July 26, 1991)

WHEREAS The Winnipeg Canoe Club was duly incorporated by An Act to incorporate "The Winnipeg Canoe Club", being chapter 161 of the Statutes of Manitoba, 1913-14;

AND WHEREAS the incorporation of The Winnipeg Canoe Club was continued by The Winnipeg Canoe Club Incorporation Act, being chapter 219 of the Re-enacted Statutes of Manitoba, 1990;

AND WHEREAS The Winnipeg Canoe Club has by its petition prayed that it be enacted as hereinafter set forth, and it is expedient to grant the prayer of the petition;

THEREFORE, HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

R.S.M. 1990, c. 219 amended

The Winnipeg Canoe Club Incorporation Act is amended by this Act.

Section 4.1 added

The following is added after section 4:

Distribution on dissolution

4.1

Upon the dissolution of the club and after the payment of all its debts and liabilities, the remaining property of the club shall be distributed or disposed of to charitable organizations or to organizations the objects of which are beneficial to the community.

Coming into force

This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
