The Horse Racing Commission Amendment Act

(Assented to July 26, 1991)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

C.C.S.M. c. H90 amended

The Horse Racing Commission Act is amended by this Act.

Subsection 9(2.1) added

The following is added after subsection (2):

Delegation of powers

9(2.1)

The commission may, in writing, delegate all or any of the powers conferred upon the commission by this Act to any member of the commission, or any person appointed or employed by the commission or whose appointment or employment is approved by the commission under or for the purposes of this Act or The Horse Racing Regulation Act.

Section 18 added

The following is added after section 17:

No personal liability

Neither the commission, nor any member of the commission, nor any person appointed or employed by the commission under or for the purposes of this Act or The Horse Racing Regulation Act, nor any person to whom a power is delegated under subsection 9(2.1), is liable for any loss or damage resulting from anything done or omitted to be done in good faith in the course of the administration of this Act or The Horse Racing Regulation Act.

Coming into force

This Act comes into force on the day it receives the royal assent.
