An Act to Amend An Act to Incorporate The Winnipeg Canoe Club
(Assented to December 20, 1988)
WHEREAS The Winnipeg Canoe Club was incorporated by An Act to incorporate "The Winnipeg Canoe Club", being chapter 161 of the Statutes of Manitoba, 1913-14;
AND WHEREAS it is desirable, and The Winnipeg Canoe Club has by its petition prayed, that it be enacted as hereinafter set forth, and it is expedient to grant the prayer of the petition;
THEREFORE, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
Section 1A. of An Act to incorporate "The Winnipeg Canoe Club", being chapter 161 of the Statutes of Manitoba, 1913-14, as amended by An Act to amend An Act to incorporate "The Winnipeg Canoe Club", being chapter 97 of the Statutes of Manitoba, 1956, and as further amended by An Act to amend An Act to incorporate "The Winnipeg Canoe Club", being chapter 117 of the Statutes of Manitoba, 1960, is repealed and the following is substituted:
The capital stock of the new club shall be 2,000 shares without nominal or par value, but the aggregate consideration for the issue of the common shares without nominal or par value shall not exceed in amount or value the sum of $1,000,000.
This Act comes into force on the day it receives the royal assent.
