An Act to amend The Agricultural Credit Corporation Act

(Assented to July 11, 1985)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

Clause 1(1) (e) of The Agricultural Credit Corporation Act, being chapter A10 of the Revised Statutes, is amended by striking out sub-clause (i) thereof and substituting therefor the following sub-clause:

(i) an individual whose principal occupation is farming or who is a part-time farmer, or.

Cl. 1(1)(j.1 ) added.

Subsection 1(1) of the Act is further amended by adding thereto, immediately after clause (j) thereof, the following clause:

(j.1) "part-time farmer" means part-time farmer as defined in the regulations;.

Subsection 1(2) of the Act is repealed and the following subsection is substituted therefor:

Determination of farmer.

The corporation shall determine who is a farmer for the purposes of this Act.

Section 31 of the Act is amended by adding thereto, immediately after clause (n) thereof, the following clause:

(o) defining who is a part-time farmer for the purposes of this Act.

This Act comes into force on the day it receives the royal assent.
