Definitions
1 The following definitions apply in this regulation.
"Act" means The Education Administration Act. (« Loi »)
"former Act" means The Education Administration Act as it read on January 5, 2025. (« loi antérieure »)
"registry" has the same meaning as in Part 3 of the Act. (« registre »)

Voluntary surrenders
2 The director of certification must record on the registry that a teacher voluntarily surrendered their teaching certificate if one of the following applies:
(a) the teacher voluntarily surrendered their teaching certificate with respect to a matter that was referred to the Certificate Review Committee under section 5 of the former Act and the matter remains pending;
(b) the teacher voluntarily surrendered their teaching certificate with respect to a matter on or after January 6, 2025, and the matter is pending under Part 3 of the Act.

2 Le directeur des brevets inscrit au registre qu'un enseignant a remis volontairement son brevet d'enseignement dans les cas suivants :
a) il l'a fait relativement à une affaire dont la Commission de révision des brevets a été saisie conformément à l'article 5 de la loi antérieure et qui n'a pas été tranchée;
b) il l'a fait le 6 janvier 2025 ou par la suite relativement à une affaire qui, sous le régime de la partie 3 de la Loi, n'a pas été tranchée.
Director must remove record
3 The director of certification must remove a record made under section 2 from the registry if the director is of the opinion that the record is no longer accurate.
Suppression de renseignements inexacts
3 Le directeur des brevets supprime du registre tout renseignement inscrit en vertu de l'article 2 qu'il estime ne plus être exact.
