Manitoba Regulation 185/2013 amended
1 The Pharmaceutical Regulation, Manitoba Regulation 185/2013, is amended by this regulation.

2 Section 1 is amended by repealing the definition "PHIN".

3 Section 62 is amended by renumbering it as subsection 62(1) and adding the following as subsection 62(2):

62(2) A student who is enrolled in at least the second year of a pharmacy education program approved by the council may administer a drug in the following circumstances:

Direct Supervision
1.A student may administer a prescription drug or a non-prescription drug as permitted under section 108 by the means described in that section

(b) only if the student has successfully completed training approved by the council as part of the student's pharmacy education program.
Surveillance immédiate

Advanced Method base
2.A student may administer a vaccine as permitted under item 1 of section 110, and a drug other than a vaccine under item 2 of section 110,
(a) only under the direct supervision of a member who is certified in an advanced method to administer the vaccine or drug; and
(b) only if the student has successfully completed training approved by the council as part of the student's pharmacy education program.

Provincial Immunization Program
3.A student may administer a vaccine listed in Schedule 2 to this regulation as permitted under item 3 of section 110 only if the student
(a) administers the vaccine under the direct supervision of a member who is certified in an advanced method to administer the vaccine;
(b) has successfully completed training approved by the council as part of the student's pharmacy education program; and
(c) complies with the requirements of the provincial immunization program.

4 Section 64 of the French version is amended, in the part before clause (a), by striking out "immédiate".

5 Subsection 108(2) is amended
(a) in the English version, by striking out "may not" and substituting "must not"; and
(b) in the French version, by striking out "de donner" and substituting "d'administrer".

b) dans la version anglaise, à « may not », de « must not ».
6 Section 110 is amended
(a) in item 1 of the French version, by striking out "donnés" and substituting "administrés"; and
(b) in item 3, by striking out "as long as" and substituting "if".

7 Section 111 is amended
(a) by adding "or supervises a student administering a vaccine" after "administers a vaccine"; and
(b) by striking out "operated by the Department of Health" and substituting "maintained by or on behalf of the minister".
7 L'article 111 est modifié par substitution :
a) à « vaccin communiquent des renseignements à ce sujet », de « vaccin ou qui surveillent un étudiant administrant un vaccin communiquent des renseignements au sujet de son administration »;

8 Section 113 is amended
(a) in the part before clause (a), by adding "or supervises a student administering a drug" after "a drug"; and
(b) by replacing clause (e) with the following:
(e) the name of the individual administering the drug;
