Manitoba Regulation 71/2009 amended
1 The Community Councils Election Regulation, Manitoba Regulation 71/2009, is amended by this regulation.

2 Section 5 is replaced with the following:

Public notice
5 If public notice is required to be given by a provision of this regulation, the senior election official must
(a) post a copy of the public notice, within a place accessible to the public, in
(i) the community office,
(ii) the place of the regular meetings of council, if other than the community office, and
(iii) at least two other locations in the community designated by the senior election official; and
(b) mail or distribute a copy of the public notice to each household in the community.
Avis publics
5 Si une disposition du présent règlement exige qu'un avis public soit donné, le fonctionnaire électoral principal :
a) affiche une copie de l'avis dans un lieu accessible au public :
(i) au bureau de la collectivité,
(ii) à l'endroit où se tiennent les réunions ordinaires du conseil, si elles ont lieu ailleurs qu'au bureau de la collectivité,
(iii) à au moins deux autres endroits qu'il désigne dans la collectivité;

3 Clause 15(1)(d) is amended by adding "or an official agent of a candidate" at the end.

Official agent
41.1(1) A candidate may appoint a person to act as their official agent.
Agent officiel
41.1(1) Tout candidat peut, par nomination, désigner son agent officiel.
41.1(2) The appointment of an official agent must
(a) be made in writing and be signed by the candidate making the appointment;
(b) include the name, address and phone number of the person appointed;
(c) include a statement signed by the person consenting to the appointment; and
(d) be filed with the senior election official.
41.1(2) La nomination :
a) est faite par écrit et signée par le candidat;
b) indique le nom, l'adresse et le numéro de téléphone de la personne nommée;
c) comprend une déclaration signée par la personne consentant à la nomination;
d) est déposée auprès du fonctionnaire électoral principal.
11 Subsection 61(1) is amended by adding the following after clause (c):
(c.1) if separate ballots are used, which ballot or ballots the person was given;
