Manitoba Regulation 132/2024 amended
1 The Regulated Vehicles (Safety Fitness, Operator Identification and Records and Vehicle Exemptions) Regulation, Manitoba Regulation 132/2024, is amended by this regulation.

2 The title is replaced with "Regulated Vehicles and Motor Carriers Regulation".

3 Subsection 1(1) is amended
(a) by repealing the definition "operator";
(b) in the definition "compliance officer", by striking out "an operator" and substituting "a motor carrier"; and
(c) in the definition "property of others", by striking out "operator" wherever it occurs and substituting "motor carrier", with necessary grammatical changes.
3 Le paragraphe 1(1) est modifié :

4 Section 2 is amended

(c) in clause (a), by striking out "operator" wherever it occurs and substituting "motor carrier"; and
(d) in subclauses (b)(i) to (iii) and (c)(i) to (iii) and clauses (d) to (h), by striking out "operator" and substituting "motor carrier".

Assigning safety fitness rating
4.1 The director may assign a safety fitness rating of "satisfactory", "satisfactory — unaudited", "conditional" or "unsatisfactory" to a motor carrier who applies for a safety fitness certificate.

Coming into force
16 This regulation comes into force on the same day that The Highway Traffic Amendment Act (Motor Carrier Enforcement), S.M. 2025, c. 30, comes into force.
