Manitoba Regulation 135/2017 amended

1   The Milk Quality Regulation, Manitoba Regulation 135/2017, is amended by this regulation.

2   Section 1 is amended by replacing the definition "HACCP" with the following:

"HACCP" means a hazard analysis critical control point system, as set out in the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) System and Guidelines for its Applications: Annex to the Recommended International Code of Practice - General Principles of Food Hygiene (CAC/RCP 1-1969), 2023 edition, that

(a) is science-based and systematic;

(b) identifies specific hazards and measures for their control to ensure the safety of food; and

(c) is a tool for assessing hazards and establishing control systems that focus on prevention rather than relying on end product testing.

3   Subsection 4(7) is amended by striking out "Dairy Farmers of Manitoba".

4   The third column of the table in Schedule B is amended

(a) in the row respecting section 1 a, by striking out "$100 penalty in addition to stop charge" and substituting "$150 penalty"; and

(b) in the row respecting section 2 a, by striking out "$100 in addition to stop charge" and substituting "$150 penalty".

Coming into force

5   This regulation comes into force on August 1, 2025, or the day it is registered under The Statutes and Regulations Act, whichever is later.
