HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
C.C.S.M. c. M226 amended
1 The Municipal Assessment Act is amended by this Act.
2 In the following provisions, "0.81 hectare" is struck out and "5 hectares" is substituted:
(a) clause 23(1)(a) in the part after subclause (ii);
(b) clauses 23(1)(b) and (e).
Coming into force
3 This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.

Explanatory Note The Municipal Assessment Act is amended to increase the school tax exemption for property used to provide residential care, housing or support services for seniors and other persons from 0.81 hectare to 5 hectares. |
