THE MILK PRICES REVIEW AMENDMENT ACT

HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

1 The Milk Prices Review Act is amended by this Act.
2 The following is added after subsection 3(6):
Publication of milk prices
3(6.1) The Manitoba Council must make any order made under subsection (5) available to the public by publishing it on a website and by any other means the Manitoba Council considers advisable.
Consumer price must be clearly communicated
3(6.2) Without limitation, when an order establishes the minimum or maximum price or both minimum and maximum prices at which fluid milk shall be sold by retailers, the publication under subsection (6.1) must clearly and understandably set out the corresponding price or prices to be paid by consumers.
Coming into force
3 This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.

Explanatory Note The Milk Prices Review Act is amended. The price of milk to be paid as a result of an order of the Manitoba Farm Products Marketing Council must be published by the Manitoba Council in clear and understandable language. |
