THE LIQUOR, GAMING AND CANNABIS CONTROL AMENDMENT ACT

HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

C.C.S.M. c. L153 amended

1   The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Control Act is amended by this Act.

2   Subsections 24(2) to (4) are repealed.

3   Subsection 24.1(1) is amended by striking out "prescribed category of".

4   Clause 157(1)(c) is repealed.

Coming into force

5   This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation.

Explanatory Note

This Bill amends The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Control Act to eliminate specific categories of liquor service licences established in the Act. The different categories of liquor service licences are now to be established by regulation. The ability to sell liquor with food that is purchased for delivery or takeout is no longer restricted to specified categories of liquor service licences.
