HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
THE LIQUOR, GAMING AND CANNABIS CONTROL ACT
The Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Control Act is amended by this section.
The following is added after section 24:
Liquor sales with delivery and takeout food orders
The holder of a prescribed category of liquor service licence may sell beer, wine, cider and coolers for consumption outside the licensed premises if it is sold with food purchased for delivery or takeout from the licensed premises.
Sales must comply with regulations
The sale of beer, wine, cider and coolers sold with food for consumption outside the licensed premises must take place in accordance with the regulations.
The following is added after subsection 47(1):
Liquor must be purchased from MLLC
All liquor sold under a retail endorsement must have been purchased from MLLC.
The following is added after clause 157(2)(e):
(e.1) establishing requirements and prohibitions respecting the sale of beer, wine, cider and coolers for consumption outside of licensed premises under section 24.1;
THE MANITOBA LIQUOR AND LOTTERIES CORPORATION ACT
The Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation Act is amended by this section.
Clause 28(1)(c) is amended by striking out "(beer distributor)" and substituting "(liquor distributor)".
Section 36 is replaced with the following:
The corporation may enter into an agreement with a person to act as a liquor distributor.
A person who enters into a liquor distributor agreement may, in accordance with the agreement,
(a) acquire liquor and sell it to the corporation;
(b) store liquor in Manitoba; and
(c) deliver liquor as directed by the corporation.
COMING INTO FORCE
Coming into force — royal assent
Subject to subsection (2), this Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
Coming into force — proclamation
Subsections 1(2) and (4) come into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
