THE MANITOBA PUBLIC INSURANCE CORPORATION AMENDMENT ACT

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:
C.C.S.M. c. P215 amended
The Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation Act is amended by this Act.
Subsection 131(1) is amended by striking out "of not more than $3,000. per month".
Subsection 131(2) is repealed.
Subsection 137.1(1) is amended by striking out "subsection (4) and".
Subsection 137.1(4) is repealed.
Coming into force
This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
This Bill amends The Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation Act. It removes the cap on personal assistance expenses payable. It also eliminates a cap on discretionary expenses that MPIC can pay to victims who sustained a catastrophic injury.
