THE ELECTION FINANCING AMENDMENT ACT (REPEAL OF ANNUAL ALLOWANCE)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

The Election Financing Act is amended by this Act.

Clause 4(c) is amended by striking out "and an annual allowance".

Part 11 is repealed and, for greater certainty, no registered party shall receive an allowance for 2016 or for any subsequent year.

Clause 113(d) is repealed.

Coming into force and application

This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent, despite section 117 of The Election Financing Act (amendments do not apply for three months).
