THE ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION AWARENESS DAY ACT

WHEREAS one person's decision to become an organ and tissue donor may benefit up to 50 people;

AND WHEREAS there is a need to promote awareness, education and discussion about becoming an organ and tissue donor;

THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Day

The Tuesday of the last full week in April of each year is proclaimed as Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Day.

This Act may be referred to as chapter O76 of the Continuing Consolidation of the Statutes of Manitoba.

Coming into force

This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
