THE ELECTIONS AMENDMENT ACT

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

The Elections Act is amended by this Act.

Subsection 63(3) is amended by striking out "A remote" and substituting "Subject to subsection 72(3), a remote".

Subsection 72(2) is amended by striking out "Every" and substituting "Subject to subsection (3), every".

3(2)

The following is added after subsection 72(2):

Advance poll hours on Remembrance Day

72(3)

Every advance poll on Remembrance Day shall open at 1:00 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.

Coming into force

This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
