The Manitoba-Saskatchewan Boundary Act, 1937

WHEREAS it is considered advisable to continue this Act in the body of Manitoba's laws in its original form without revision;

AND WHEREAS the Minister of Justice has caused this Act to be prepared in English and French for re-enactment in accordance with a judgment dated June 13, 1985 and an order dated November 4, 1985 of the Supreme Court of Canada;

THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

Short title

This Act may be cited as:  The Manitoba-Saskatchewan Boundary Act, 1937.

Approval and confirmation of survey of portion of boundary

Subject to the passing of an Act of the same import as this Act by the Province of Saskatchewan the report of the Inter-Provincial Boundary Commission appointed to complete the necessary surveys to mark the inter-provincial boundary between the Provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan and the plans of such survey of record in the Surveys Branch, Department of Mines and Natural Resources of the Province of Manitoba, under numbers 3468, 3469 and 3470 are hereby approved and confirmed, and that portion of the boundary between the Provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, as marked on the ground by the said commission during the year 1936, is hereby approved and confirmed and declared to be the true inter-provincial boundary.

NOTE: This Act replaces The Manitoba-Saskatchewan Boundary Act, 1937, being chapter 24, Revised Statutes of Manitoba, 1954, which came into force April 1, 1955.
