THE REAL PROPERTY AMENDMENT ACT

(Assented to June 28, 1997)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

C.C.S.M. c. R30 amended

1         The Real Property Act is amended by this Act.

2         Section 94 is amended

(a) in the part preceding clause (a) of the English version, by striking out "his" and substituting "his or her";

(b) in clause (a), by striking out "and upon the lease"; and

(c) in the part following clause (b) of the English version, by striking out "his" and substituting "his or her".

3         Subsection 96(7) is amended by striking out "name and".

4         Subsection 110(1) is amended

(a) by striking out "the principal amount secured thereby and"; and

(b)  by striking out "other than an error in principal amount".

5         The section heading for section 141 of the English version is repealed and "Land subject to encumbrances" is substituted.

Coming into force

6         This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
