The Labour Relations Amendment Act

     

(Assented to December 14, 1990)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

C.C.S.M. c. L10 amended

1           The Labour Relations Act is amended by this Act.

Subsection 21(1.1) and Part V.l repealed

2           Subsection 21(1.1) and Part V.l are repealed.

Pending F.O.S. process

3           Where, before the day on which this Act comes into force, a party to a collective agreement makes an application under subsection 94.1(1) or 94.1(2), the provisions of Part V.l continue to apply to the dispute to which the application relates and a right, benefit or obligation resulting from the final offer selection process continues in full force and effect during the term of the collective agreement.

Completed F.O.S. process

4           Where, before the day on which this Act comes into force, a dispute under a collective agreement is resolved through the final offer selection process under Part V.l, rights, benefits or obligations acquired through the final offer selection process continue in full force and effect during the term of the collective agreement.

Coming into force

5           This Act comes into force on a day fixed by proclamation.
