An Act to amend The Municipal Assessment Act 2

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

Section 2 of The Municipal Assessment Act, chapter M226 of the Continuing Consolidation of the Statutes of Manitoba, is amended by adding immediately after subsection (8) thereof the following subsection:

Bible colleges.

2(8.1)

The lands and buildings of

(a) the Winnipeg Bible College and Theological Seminary;

(b) the Mennonite Brethren Bible College;

(c) the Canadian Nazarene College; and

(d) the Canadian Mennonite Bible College; are exempt from all taxation levied by the council of a municipality except taxation levied for local improvements to the extent that they are used for religious, educational or training purposes.

Commencement.

This act shall be deemed to have come into force on January 1, 1987.
