An Act to amend The Registry Act

(Assented to July 11, 1985)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

Subsec. 41(2) am.

Subsection 41(2) of The Registry Act, being chapter R50 of the Revised Statutes is amended by adding thereto, immediately after the word "subdivision" in the 1st line of clause (b) thereof, the words "or special plot".

Sec. 52.1 added.

The Act is further amended by adding thereto, immediately after section 52 thereof, the following section:

Plans for simplifying description of land.

52.1

The Registrar-General may direct that a plan (also called a "special plot") compiled from documents and plans registered in a land titles office, be prepared by the Examiner of Surveys for the purpose of simplifying the description of the land of every owner in the area covered by the plan.

Commencement of Act.

This Act comes into force on the day it receives the royal assent.
