THE PROCEEDINGS AGAINST THE CROWN AMENDMENT ACT

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

The Proceedings Against the Crown Act is amended by this Act.

Subsection 16.1(2) is amended by striking out "Article 1706.1(4)(b), 1706.1(6), 1707(11)(b) or 1716(3) of".

Coming into force

This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.

Explanatory Note

The Agreement on Internal Trade is an agreement intended to eliminate trade barriers and promote labour mobility across Canada. This Bill amends The Proceedings Against the Crown Act to enable any order against the Government of Manitoba under the Agreement on Internal Trade to be enforced as a court order.
