THE CONSUMER PROTECTION AMENDMENT ACT (BAN ON GOVERNMENT CHEQUE CASHING FEES)

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

The Consumer Protection Act is amended by this Act.

The centred heading before section 165 is amended by adding "BAN ON" before "GOVERNMENT CHEQUE CASHING FEES".

Section 166 is amended by striking out everything after "cheque cashing fee".

Section 169 is repealed.

This Act comes into force on the day it receives royal assent.
