Ecological Goods and Services Initiatives (EG&S)
PURPOSE OF PROGRAM/SERVICE
To investigate, develop and implement new and innovative ecological goods and
services (EG&S) policy options to achieve multiple environmental outcomes
associated with Manitoba’s agricultural landscape and sustainable agriculture.
WHO QUALIFIES
Organized farm groups, conservation districts and individual producers.
AVAILABLE BENEFITS/ASSISTANCE
● Technical and professional assistance on EG&S.
● Dissemination of ecological goods and services related information including
WWW
information.
● Develop and implement an incentive program to support the adoption of
beneficial management practices (BMPs) that result in the provision of EG&S for
a sustainable agriculture.
