The Western Potato Council (WPC) will be holding annual committee meetings in conjunction with Saskatchewan Seed Potato Growers Association (SSPGA) Annual Meeting on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Travelodge Hotel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The tentative agenda for the meetings is as follows;

8:30 to 10:00 Potato Molecular Consortium Meeting
-Larry Kawchuk chair (Open to Consortium Members Only)

10:00 to 10:30 Refreshment Break

10:30 to 11:45 Product Registration Committee (PRC) Meeting
Darin Gibson chair (Open to Anyone Interested in Attending)

11:45 to 1:00 Lunch on your own

1:00 to 2:00 Research Priorities Committee (RPC) Meeting
Susan Smith chair (Open to Anyone Interested in Attending)

2:00 to 2:45 Cultivar Registration Committee (CRC) Meeting
Benoit Bizimungu chair (Open to Anyone Interested in Attending)

2:45 - 3:15 Refreshment Break

3:15 to 4:15 Seed Committee (SC) Meeting
Ward McNichol chair (Open to Anyone Interested in Attending)


The WPC Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday November 25 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the Travelodge Hotel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The Western Potato Council (WPC) is a non-profit organization whose objective is the advancement of the potato industry in western Canada. Meeting this objective is done through collaboration and communication with other agricultural and horticultural groups in Canada and abroad.
