Aphid numbers were generally low at most sites this week with the exception of Carberry and Portage. At both of these locations most aphids were captured in suction traps and likely a result of aphids moving out of crops and looking for overwintering sites. Very few aphids were captured within potato fields. Many fields have been desiccated so leaf samples were not available.
This is the last aphid report for the 2009 season.
